About the Sellers

Reagan Shanley – Principal, Weslin Capital LLC – Mr. Shanley has over 25 years of experience in the commercial real estate finance and investment industry. Prior to Weslin Capital, Mr. Shanley was a member of the senior management team hired to restructure Capmark Finance, a large commercial real estate finance company with over $15 billion in assets and 2000 employees. At Capmark, Mr. Shanley was primarily responsible for maximizing the recovery on a $2.5 billion portfolio of 230 distressed loans and properties.

During this time, Mr. Shanley developed a successful track record of turning around multiple distressed condominium projects located in New York, Connecticut, Florida, and Pennsylvania, including Linden78, a $100 million new construction luxury high-rise in New York City. Prior to joining Capmark, Mr. Shanley was a Managing Director in the real estate finance business with RBS Greenwich Capital. Mr. Shanley holds a BA in economics from the University of Texas at Austin and a MBA in real estate finance from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Roger Phillips – CEO, TEXLA Housing Partners, Inc. – Roger has over 20 years experience in the acquisition, development and management of multi-family properties valued at approximately $700M throughout the U.S. Since starting TEXLA in 2009, he has acquired through JV relationships Student Housing assets valued at approximately $100M. Mr. Phillips, through a TEXLA affiliated entity, is currently managing 7 student housing assets totaling approximately 3,000 beds. Prior to starting TEXLA, Roger worked for national real estate firms including JPI, American Campus Communities(ACC) and Campus Living Villages(CLV). Mr. Phillips hold a BS in Business Administration & Finance from Louisiana State University at Shreveport.
